We are a joint venture that leverages the existing RNA expertise at the University at Albany's RNA Institute and the University of Rochester's Center for RNA Biology. Our focus is on using RNA research as a tool for training high-tech STEM workers and generating biomedical solutions to genetic diseases.

The Center of Excellence in RNA Research and Therapeutics, CERRT, is a joint venture between the RNA Institute at the University at Albany and the University of Rochester's Center for RNA Biology with a focus on using RNA research as a tool for training the next generation of high-tech STEM workers in New York State.

By working with New York biotechnology and pharmaceutical  companies, like Pfizer, Regeneron, miR Scientific, sxRNA Technologies, Neural Stem Cell Institute, Curia, and many more, our mission is to contribute to the New York State work force by creating a pipeline of skilled researchers and promoting exciting new startups. This will aid trainees in securing exciting careers in the Biotechnology, R&D, and Healthcare sectors and help accelerate new discoveries and cutting edge therapeutics.
